Knee Replacement
Total knee replacement may be considered for advanced knee arthritis or joint damage when pain and difficulty with daily activities continue despite appropriate non-surgical care. Assessment considers symptoms, examination, imaging when indicated, overall health and personal goals. The operation replaces damaged joint surfaces with prosthetic components. In selected cases, computer navigation or robotic assistance may be used to support surgical planning and alignment. These tools do not perform the operation independently or guarantee a particular outcome; suitability and availability depend on the case and treating hospital. Dr. Aman Dua discusses the proposed approach, alternatives, risks and recovery expectations before surgery. Rehabilitation is an important part of recovery, and progress varies. A knee replacement does not restore a completely natural knee, and no result can be guaranteed. Book a consultation to discuss your options.
